Sr.Celine Paramundayil MMS ( Director)
Sr. Celine was appointed as the Director of Ayushya in August 2024 after returning from Khandwa Madhya Pradesh. Prior to that she served as the global representative of the Medical Mission Sisters at the United Nations in New York USA for ten years. She has bachelor’s degrees in Chemistry from Mumbai University and Nursing from Bharathidasan University Tamil Nadu. She holds Master’s degree and Mphil in Women’s studies. She served in MMT Hospital Mundakayam and was a Nurse tutor in IHM Hospital Bharananganam and Assistant program coordinator in Ayushya. She served as the youth Coordinator in Kottayam and Coordinator of Gandhipet Women’s Collective, Tamil Nadu. She is a trained Laudato Si Animator and promotes natural farming as part of the Eco-spirituality. Sr.Celine took several courses while in USA and India and teaches mindfulness Meditation, practices Unbound (Freedom in Christ) ministry - online and offline when time permits.
Sr. Dr. Eliza Kupozhackel MMS
Sr. Eliza is the foundress of Ayushya and served as programme coordinator of Ayushya till 2020. She is in charge of holistic health training programmes and holistic health Clinic. She holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from Bombay University and Doctor of Alternative Medicine from the International Open University. She has a diploma in Sacred Sciences- Scripture and Theology and is a certified yoga teacher from Kaivalyadham Yoga Institute, Pune and Yoga Shikshak from Bihar School of Yoga, Mongyr. She is trained in Holistic Health, Stress Management and several non-drug healing modalities from the East and West. She has special training in TA and Psychotherapy; and advanced training in Psychotherapy and Emotional Body Health from the Institute for Studies in Psychotherapy and Emotional Body Work from Canada; Oriental Medicine and Auricular Therapy from Asian Health Institute, Japan; Pranic Energy Healing from Philippines; and several Alternative Healing Modes, Energy Balancing Techniques and Vibration Medicine from USA. Sr. Eliza is a pioneer in Holistic Health and Pranic Healing in India. She has over 45 years of experience in giving training and healing in Integrated Approach to Health and several Alternative healing modes. Eliza has contributed several articles on Healing and Wholeness in the national and international publications. She has developed a herbal Garden with a variety of medicinal herbs for demonstration and prepared several home remedies using herbs from the garden. She has served on the national board of Voluntary Health Association of India, New Delhi and the Secretary of Kerala Voluntary Health Services for eleven years. She has received honorary Doctorate in Social Services and has several awards for developing and promoting holistic health. Recently she received the Nelson Mandela International Excellence award 2025. Asian Council for Education and Research (United Kingdom, global Accreditation UK) in recognition of her outstanding achievements in the field of holistic health and Alternative Medicine.
Sr. Marykutty Kinattukara MMS
Sr.Marykutty Kinattuara did her studies in M.A. Rural Development and Management in Gandhigram Rural Institute, Tamil Nadu. She worked ten years in Nagaland and Meghalaya, North East as a missionary for community development. She did her studies in M.Phil in Counselling and Psychology. At present she is promoting Nature cure and Natural farming and in collaboration with different groups where people are having same vision and mission.
At present she is helping the sick and suffering people by following Nature cure methods in which she uses food as medicine and developing a Natural farming in Ayushya compound to have sufficient natural fruits, vegetables and variety of herbs. Also she is on the process of keeping Ayushya farm eco. friendly where all living beings can live happy and healthy.
Sr. Dr. Joan Chunkapura, MMS
Sr. Dr. Joan Chunkapura, MMS is having a Doctoral Degree in Psychology from University of Delhi and had her special training in Addiction Treatment and Family Therapy and Advanced Psychotherapies from USA. She gives seminars, retreats and classes; and talks in Media besides helping clients psycho-spiritually through counselling and Psychotherapy. She is a pioneer in the field of addiction treatment and counselling in Kerala setting up 5 de-addiction centers in the State and received President’s Award for the Best Rehabilitation Center in the Country in the year 2014. She has authored and co-authored 22 books in English and Malayalam on counselling children and youth, addiction, family therapy and psychotherapy. She is the Board member of Central Education Board of Christian Medical Association of India and Incharge of Family mission of World Peace Mission, Secretary of National Catholic Mental Health Minisry and co-founder of Sanjivani Group of Rehabilitation Centers in Mental Health. Currently she is serving as the Secretary and Principal of TRADA Institute of Social Sciences and Rehabilitation Center, Psychologist at Psychiatric Department of IHM Hospital, Bharananganam and Programme Coordinator of Ayushya, Ithithanam. Her services are available at Ayushya on Fridays, Saturdays and Mondays for counselling, Psychotherapies, retreat and psycho-spiritual integration.
Sr. Maria Paravarakathu MMS
Sr. Maria has a Diploma in Pranic Healing Systems, and training in Human Resource Development skills in Counselling. She is also trained in non-drug therapies like crystal healing, acupressure, reflexology, polarity therapy, magneto therapy and counselling. She is involved in Holistic Health practices and works as a healer in the clinic in Ayushya.
Sr. Deena Philip Medayil MMS
A Pharmacist by profession Sr. Deena graduated from Christian Medical College Vellore, Sister did her studies in Counselling and Psychology at East Asian Pastoral Institute Manila and Ateneo de manila Philippines. Later studied Spiritual Direction, Counselling and Psychotherapy using different approaches and methods at Sadhana Institute, Lonavla, Pune. She is specialized in HRT Counselling and Brain Wave Therapy at HRT Psychotherapeutic Foundation Trivandrum and Aluva with Dr.Berchmans Koyical- the deviser and Founder of HRT system of counselling coupled with Brain wave Therapy. Sister Deena is working as professional licensed HRT counsellor and Brain Wave Therapist at Ayushya for the last 25+ years.
Sr. Dr. Anburani Gabriel MMS
Sr Dr. AnbuRani MMS holds a Bachelor Degree in Naturopathy and yogic Sciences from Sree RamaKrishana Medical College of Naturopathy and yogic Sciences, Kulasekaram, TamilNadu. She is a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife (RNRM) from Claudine School of Nursing, Batlagundu, Tamil Nadu and worked as a Nurse for a period of 8 years in Leonard hospital, Tamil Nadu and IHM hospital, Bharanaganam, kerala. Currently she is practicing as a Naturopathy doctor in two places- Holistic Health Centre, Peermede, Iddukki and Ayushya centre for Healing and Integration Chaganacherry.
Sr. Thresia Paulose MMS
Sr. Thresia holds a Bachelor degree in in Economics, and Masters in Social Work. She served as Social worker and teacher in Madhya Pradesh and Mampally Trivandrum. She took special course in Photography and videomaking from Pune. She was in Ghana for six months prior to her appointment as the Treasurer of Ayushya.
